So my electronics guy replaced my Sirius weather package yesterday (BBWX2) with the new BBWX4. I have a TZT that is about 6 years old. Turns out that Furuno won't have the TZT software update for AT LEAST another month, probably longer. I use the Sirius to track the storms coming from the GOM, across Florida, to know when we should start heading in to avoid lightning. Sirius gives me the lightning which is extremely valuable.

How can Furuno NOT have the software update but is selling the BBWX4??? My electronics guy was amazed. He is a Furuno service center. Any help would be appreciated.

The BBWX4 started selling for the TZT2 and TZT2BB which do have software available. We hope to see the new version of TZT software the first week in June. Fingers crossed.

How do you sell electronics without the software written/updated? I certainly expect this out of Raymarine. That's why I bought Furuno!! You got to get it together. The guy on the phone told my dealer that it would be another 4 weeks, OR SO!! That would put it around 4th of July. Storms start really picking up June 1. Why else would I buy the Weather package???
