Any one using a B260 transducer? I am thinking about pairing it with my GP1971. I want to mark fish in the 600-1300 ft range. Any screen shoots?

rodneymeyers,

I know many people who have been using the GP1971F with the 526TID-HDD (B260) with great success, especially fishing within Alaskan waters.

The B260 being a 1kW transducer with 50kHz and 19° beamwidth, that should get you a for depth to around 2,500 ft. The 200kHz side has a 6° beamwidth should provide you with depth performance around about 1,000 ft.

AIRMAR's B260 Transducer comes available with an internal diplexer for single-transmission-line fishfinders and without a diplexer for dual-transmission-line fishfinders. Do you know by chance what version B260 that you have..? If it doesn't have an internal diplexer, then you'll need to add MB1100 Matching Box.

Hello everyone, I just bought the new Tzt12f mfd and I’m looking for a 1kw dual channel chirp transducer that has Dff3d capability that’s a transom mount. Can someone recommend which model to use or any ideas? I sure appreciate it. Thank you, David

THere is no dff3d transducer that's chirp. B260 isn't chirp. Look through the recommended accessories or talk with dealers to figure out what to get. Lots of beamwidth and power options for chirp and regular transducers.

There are combo transducers that contain both chirp elements and dff3d 165khz elements

165T-265LH has both the dff3d and the B265LH elements in it, in a pm111 housing

there's also a 165T - 275LHW in a single element

there's also a 165T - PM542LM with a low and medium chirp

I have not bought the transducer yet. Looking to get the 526TID-HDD. Its going on a 26' panga so I trying to find a fiberglass guy to do a pocket for it. Airmar does not recommend using a fairing block on boats under 30'
