Auto setting selects the most detailed navigation charts. An example would be if you were using raster while heading to the Bahamas, but in the Bahamas you only had a unlocked vector chart pack it would use it.
Unfortunately the TZT does not know when you want to go fishing. :sorry
You'll have to switch manually.
