Anyone familiar with the 82b-35r transducer?

I have seen several videos and screen shots of this transducer connected to the FCV-295 from people in Australia. Not sure why that does not appear to be the case in the states. Interested in this for fishing 100-800 feet, any thoughts? Would be for a 26 foot twin outboard center console.

Hsp,

There are a few vessels within the US North Pacific Fishing Fleet that are running the FCV1150/FCV295 with the CA82B-35R Transducer Combination. These commercial fishing vessels are typically using a Screen Advance of: "1/1", TX Power of: "10" and TX Rate of: "20"

They are setting the CA82B-35R for the frequency for 88Khz with the Bandwidth to 44kHz. This then allows them slew the frequency between from 65 to 110kHz depending on the fishery.

Here are the specifications for the CA82B-35R:
• 2 kW
• Selectable frequency - 65kHz to 110kHz
• Beam angle becomes sharper at higher frequencies:
o 68kHz = 12.5 degrees
o 88kHz = 9.6 degrees
o 107kHz = 7.7 degrees
