Another uppdate history.

Hi

i have a vx2 1.05 (195002801.05) that needs an ppdate but my nerest Dealer dont know how to update and tells me contact Furuno Sweden who tells me i can uppdate it directly.
And after reading this forum it seems imposible, Any ideas what to now ?

The software is posted on our website www.furunousa.com. The model you need to put in the search function will be 1824C if it uses Navionics cartography or 1824C/NT if it was C-Map.
The software you have is very old and may have to be done in increments. You will also find instruction on our site.

Wow thats was a quick response.
But i think its a 1724, the type is RDP-148 and serial 4327-0510, But i still only find the newest software not anything about how ti do it in increments,

You should be able to update from your current version. On our website put 1724 into the model number search then click on the C or C/NT version.
Once on the model page click support View Support then click software. You will find the instructions and a zip file with the latest software. Hopefully it resolves your radar/standby issue.

Hi again, could not get it to update that way, But i just talked to one of the Swedish service engineer at FURUNO who gave me the correct files, GD-1720C Cmap 1.06,GD-1720C Cmap 1.08 and 7inch GD-1720 v04.04, and it updated right away. But it didnt resolve my radar/standby issue.
