Recently installed a FA 70. I have two doubts regarding the initial installation trough the PC app.

What the use of on/off Long Range Tx broadcast?

View channel; when the region list pushed, I just have one line…what’s de porpoise of this function ?

The long range is basically the difference in output power between Class B and Class B+. B+ has a bit more power and range but some areas of the world do not allow higher power on class B for example. For this reason, the FA70 is not sold in places like Japan. If you were using this device while traveling to Japan, it would be proper to turn off the Long range broadcast while there. These units are pretty simple and users typically enter the boat name and MMSI and leave the rest alone unless putting in a silent switch. There are troubleshooting areas not fully disclosed. If you have an extensive need for this, please contact the official support of your local distributor in Spain.
