711c with pg500 no compass adjustment data

Hi all, I’ve had ongoing issues with my 711c and pg500 Ap.

I have changed the heading sensor to a known working one, as we had issues with the boat wandering which I’m 99%sure was due to large metal objects near the heading sensor.

No we factory reset the new pg500 and have a solid status light after start up, but now when I select auto I get message in the Ap and alarms saying “no compass adjustment data” could really use some help to sort it out and would like to thank you in advance for any advice!

I should add, we haven’t been able to get the boat out to do the circles sea trial setup. And the display is receiving a heading position that matches my traditional compass.

It's telling you that the "circles" procedure hasn't been done yet; it's because you cleared the compass. Need to go out and do the compass calibration in the sea trial menu and that will go away.

That’s great news. I finally have a heading that matches my compass. I’ll do the sea trial process when I’m at the boat next and then it’s just One more job to get it to talk to the Garmins
