7000F HOOK UP TO RD30

Hello, I have a 7000F gps ff , that I want nema 183 to a RD30. I have already wired, and installed both units. I have the white wire from the 7000F going to the yellow wire on the RD30 , and the black wire from the 7000F going the green wire on the RD30. what is done with the bare wires from both units? also how do I get them to talk to each other? thx in advance

The other unused wires are strapped back and protected with electrical tape to prevent contact with anything until needed. You would need to configure the NMEA port you used in the GP7000 to 4800 baud rate and turn on the NMEA sentences you wish to send over to the RD30. Once you have turned on the data it will flow to the RD30 and be view-able.

done it all , and I can't get a signal on the rd30

I would check the wiring. The RD30 has no setting to stop something from showing. Any RD30 I have saw that turns on, works. If it still doesn't work then you might need to send both units in for repair evaluation.
