Setting up a Gp1920C for a autopilot

I installed a GP1920C back in 2011 and it has never worked with my autopilot, I have the autopilot on data port 2 using a furuno six wire adapter down to 3 wire ( white, black and shield ). When I try to put in nmea 0183 info to the port it doesn’t write to the port monitor window, also I have my vhf radio hooked up to data port 3 using the factory six wire adapter and I can not get it to write to port 3 monitor window any ideas where I went wrong.

Output from data2 is white (TX+) to autopilot NMEA0183 RX+ and data2 black (TX-) to autopilot NMEA0183 RX-. Next you would need to ensure that APB, GGA, RMB, RMC, VTG, XTE and ZDA on in the menu (Menu-System Configuration-System Setup-Port Setup-Data2 NMEA Port, choose select SNTNC and ensure "ON" is next to each of those codes).

Data3 in heading input ONLY. It does not have output capability. Just double up on the wires from data2 wht/blk to go to your radio. With the sentences I mentioned above, it'll provide the data to your radio.
