585 vs 588

A few questions. Any real world difference between the 585 and 588?
Are the cut out dimensions the same?(can't find 585 info anymore)
Do they use the same transducer connection?(I currently have a 1KW tilted element transducer that I like and it connects to the 585)

Thank you. I am very satisfied with the performance of the 585. Will I be able to tell a difference in the performance of the 588 in comparison?

The 1KW pre-tilt isn't supported as a transducer for some of the new modes like advanced rezboot or bottom discrimination. For your install (and the fact your happy with the FCV585) I see no big benefit for you to upgrade.
