1st Watch Radar wifi didn't work when I needed it most!

Came back to my slip in fog and my DRS4W would not connect! urrggg.

It will preheat, then have a wifi error 0001 or 0002, can't remember. But basically, as soon as it started to transit it would fail. Things I confirmed:

It was connected to Wifi, didn't drop connection on my phone
Used an ipad and iphone, same issue
Ipad never gets updates so an update didn't cause it
Confirmed power going to radar

Also, I've had this thing for about a year and the few times I used it, it would work ok but often drop connection. I would need to connect back several times and often gave up. Sometimes it worked perfectly.

I haven't installed anything near it since it worked until now. Nothing has changed.

Anyone have any ideas what I can try?

Did you try calling tech support from the boat and having them take you through diagnostic procedures? I think you will do better that way since it is an iterative process of ruling out different possible causes of the problem. It will also speed things up if it turns out that there is something wrong with your radar unit and it has to be returned for repair.

Please run this test and note the WLAN signal strength in STBY, then place in TX and note the WLAN signal strength in TX.
