1kW transducer for TZtouch2

I want to get the best fishfinding and bottom discrimination from my 12" TZTouch2 without installing a separate black box sonar (i.e. using the built in fishfinder in the TZtouch2) and also whilst maintaining the Accufish and Bottom Discrimination features. I'd like to get a 1kW dual frequency transducer to get additional detail and depth capabilities.

I have an aluminum hulled boat, so a stainless steel thru-hull transducer would likely be best to avoid corrosion.

Would the Furuno 556TID-HDD or the 556TID-LTD be compatible and appropriate? Any other suggestions?

Thank you for your inquiry. Yes, based on your post I believe the 556TID-HDD will be the best fit for your situation. That transducer is compatible for both Bottom Discrimination and Accu-Fiah. Even though the 556TID-HDD is not specifically listed as compatible we know the 526TID-HDD is, and the 556TID-HDD is the same transducer just with a bronze housing. When you go to program the TZT2, you will need program the transducer as the 526TID-HDD.
