I had a hard time finding info about the gp1971 f combined with navionics platinum plus.
Question I had was, will it look like the boating app, I was told yes, it sorta does but not in detail, possibly because of the difference in pixels from phone to unit.

Likely only two to consider i-boat and Navionics app and being you have Navionics charts it seems pretty clear to me. You might want to look at the Navionics app.

just bought and installed my 1971, installed platinum plus from navionics
I wanted it to look like the boating app but cant get it to have the same shading colors. Any recommendations?

I've used the Navionics Platinum + card for two years in my GP1971F. Outstanding bottom detail where I fish along the central NC coast. Extremely pleased with the clarity and resolution of the coverage. This chip plus the GP1971F are a great combination!
