1670f and M260 Transducer

Can I connect an M260 transducer to my 1670f using a Furuno pigtail part AIR033-333. Wires for the M260 and the pigtail are the same with the exception of a Orange wire in the pigtail.

As long as the M260 is a diplexed version it should work fine. If it is non-diplexed you would need an Airmar Matching box (external diplexer).

Can I determine the difference in diplexed vs non-diplexed, how the transducer cable is wired or is it a trial and error.

A non-diplexed transducer with have two sets of wires going to the 50 and 200Khz elements.
One pair will be blue & black and the other pair will be blue & black with a white stripe. A diplexed transducer has just a blue & black pair.
