What am I missing, I am reading that my navnet unit has 40 gigs of memory, yet my active track is self deleting after about 2 trips, surely it can hold more than about 200 miles of track? my older little small garmin unit would hold a snail trail for a years worth of trips it seemed like.

thank you for any help or suggestions

Most NN3D unit have an 80 GB drive, but early NN3D units did come with 40GB.
You might want to review an existing posting about tracks found here...

Saving your tracks will allow you have basically unlimited tracking. Most people find the 10,000 track points more than enough, but coupled with saving you can have as much as you desire. We typically find questions come up because how the user has setup the tracks to be managed. You can drop points based on time or distance. If time is selected, you can be dropping (wasting) points directly under the boat while the unit is running at the dock. You can increase the reach of the 10,000 points by increasing either the time interval or distance interval you are using.
