RD33 and AWS using SOG?

I have several RD33 displays and noted that while displaying wind speeds that TWS and AWS are the same when my STW sensor gets stuck. Where do I change the reference for calculating TWS from STW to SOG?

The funny thing is my NV3D displays the correct AWS and TWS even when my STW sensor has been stuck by barnacles.

The RD33 only uses STW so the STW source has to be fixed for it to caluate. The other unit can also use SOG. That is how they are programmed.

Johnny, ok thanks for confirming this. I thought I had accidentally changed something on the RD33 to calculate off STW rather than SOG. I'll need to be sure I keep my STW sensor clean and free of barnacles.

Strange programming decision for the Navnet3D to use SOG and the RD33 to use STW. Does this imply that if I didn't;t have a STW sensor that the RD33 would be unable to display true wind speed?
