questions re: fm4850

Redoing boat electronics, and am installing the following equipment

• tzt3 with DRS4D-NXT
• scx20
• fm4850

All 3 will be on the nmea2k bus. Can the fm4850 use the data from the scx20 on the nmea2k for its needed gps data? Or does it have to use a dedicated gps antenna (e.g. the GPA017) directly connected to the fm4850?

Also, I saw that dsc calling can be initiated directly from a TZtouch2 MFD, so I assume that it will work with the tzt3, correct?

The FM4850 can use the data on the 2000 bus, it doesn't require its own antenna.

Yes, the DSC calling integration with the TZT2/3 units and the Furuno FM4850 work very well.
