New Route - unable to plot a new course

I have a new system. When attempting to plot a new route it grays out immediately. Unable to start at all. All other functions are ok. Ie new point, goto etc

How do I activate this function?

I did get the problem resolved. It turns out that I had an active route and you can’t do a new route while another is active.

I did not know I had an active route since all my routes had been transferred from another Furuno system and the transfer had taken place with an active route without my prior knowledge.
