FCV587 NMEA question

Wondering if both NMEA ports on the FCV 587 are output ports. I am wanting to output RS422 data to a RS422 multiplexer wifi unit. I have connected the Green RD-B to the negative input terminal on the unit and the yellow RD-A to the positive terminal. Not sure if that is the correct pairing. I am using 20ga. tinned wire. Recently purchased First Watch radar and hoping to have digital depth as well on my TZ iboat. Cheers Steve

You need to switch to the TD pair.
RD=receive data, TD=transmit data, A=positive, B=negative
Sounds like you have a nice setup.

thank you FishTech. I did switch up the pairing as suggested. Still no luck. I believe the Baud Rate in Version 2.0 on the FCV 587 is 48000 which matches the Nmea input on my multiplexer. The multiplexer transmits and receives AIS data stream fine but not sure what is happening with the sounder data. I am waiting to hear back from the transmitter tech support.

There are 3 versions of NMEA in the setup menu. The owners manual does not offer much information. Does anyone know which version outputs at the 4800 baud rate. Thanks
