FCV587 pairing

Hi all,
Just picked up a new to me 26’ farallon on the west coast. Equipped with a fcv587 and unknown transducer. It works well but doesn’t show temperature unfortunately. Thinking of just replacing the transducer but am wondering if the B260 (526TID-HDD) is a direct plug and play 1KW replacement or if I will need the MB1100 to work with the 587 unit?
Thanks.

The 526TID-HDD has a Furuno 10-pin transducer plug on the end of its cable, so it will plug right in to the FCV587 transducer port. There is no need for the MB1100.

526TID-HDD on Furuno's webpage says "built in diplexer" which is what you want for the fcv587.
Diplexer is mentally comparable a hifi speaker crossover such that multiple speaker cones work with one signal wire. A non diplex transducer has separate wiring for low and high elements. There are B260 variants like this. These would work with something like a fcv295/1150 or the other side of a mb1100. This would be like high end audio bi-wiring/bi-amping if the audio metaphor continues.
