Wiring in transducer into fcv295

Hi team. Hoping someone can help with this... apologises if this is a Dumb question!... when wiring in a transducer into the back of a 295, what needs to be done with the gauze type metal sheathing around the transducer cabling? . hopefully this makes sense. Thanks for any help.

No question is dumb! This is from the installation manual. You should do this for any cables entering or exiting the FCV295.
