As the title states. I'm trying to determine which pumps will and won't work with the Nav pilot 300.

Thanks

Hi Denali,

What type of steering do you currently have on your boat? People determine the pump size they will use, with the size of their ram.

Ok, heres my set up, Twin 300 Suzuki's, single cylinder Seastar Hydraulic Steering. Helm is Tilt Helm HH6541-3
1.7 cu.in./1000psi(6.9MPa) MAX

Single Cylinder= HC5345-3, 10.3 MPa (1500psi) MAX

I am mainly curious if the NavPilot 300 can run any of the pumps listed on your website or if it is limited to certain ones.

Thank you for the help.

Yeah, the pumps listed on our website are the ones we use for our Navpilots. They fall in within specifications as long as sized correctly.

So given the data for my sea star system, which pump or pumps would be appropriate? And would they wor with either the 300 or the 711?

If you only have a Single Cylinder for both your engines, then the HC5345 (which has 8.34 cubic inches) would work fine with the Furuno PUMPOCT10-12 (Octopus) or the PUMPHRP11-12 (accusteer). You must use accusteer if you plan to install the FPS8 option, otherwise I would recommend the Octopus for the price and smaller install footprint.
