Volvo D6 440 DPI - 711C

Hello,

I bought a boat with a Volvo D6 440 with DPI drive engine and I would like to know if it is possible to install my NavPilot 711C autopilot without having to install a hydraulic pump, someone told me, since the Volvo system is already completely hydraulic, I just need to connect something to the Volvo Evc system.

Is your system a drive by wire system (like having a joystick)?

Hello, It is a wire system but I do not have the joystick option.

Newer Volvo drive by wire systems are becoming more proprietary as Volvo recommends the Garmin pilot to be used. If it is a true drive by wire system it will have no hydraulics for you to wire a pump into. Do you have hydraulics?
