Good morning: I have the 1870f unit for a while. I added the new C-Map card this past year and notice yesterday I couldn't zoom in too far. I went into Map Configuration and noticed that the chart was locked. However by clicking on it the on/off button didn't work. Nor did other areas in the map configuration section shown the on/off button. Did I unintentionally shut or change something in my settings that could have caused this. Thanks.

What is your display mode setup to? (Menu - Settings - Map - Display mode)
Because if you want to customize the other settings you would need to select custom. If you set it to any of the other prefixed setups they will lock you out. If that is not what you are talking about, maybe you can post a screenshot?

Hi, did you get the zoom figured out? I just purchased a boat with the same GPS and the lake I went on a couple days was barely noticeable on the display, as you can see in the attached photo. After I selected custom then unlocked the map, the zoom resolution was still horrible. Do we need to buy charts for lakes too? I swear my last GPS worked way better for lakes. Thanks
