TZTXL Side scan Intermittent No connection error

Recently professionally installed brand new Furuno TZTXL suite that includes side scan. Three MFDs, radar, autopilot. Hub 102. Everything works well except the side scan.

When I touch the side scan icon it enters side scan mode and sometimes gives an beep and error message with a white screen displaying "no connection". After sitting for a few minutes it will then connect and work providing images on the screen. Randomly it will lose connection and start beeping again. I have checked the transducer cable connection at the back of the unit. Moving the transducer cable around at the unit doesn't seem to cause it to connect or disconnect . Transducer is on a flat pad on the rear of the transom as a through hull attachment.

Advice on where to proceed to look next?
 
Sorry, I guess I wasn't clear. The machine that you have your side-scan transducer connected to physically, do you also have a normal transducer connected to that physically as well?
 
Yes I have the side scan transducer plugged into the appropriate plug on the MFD and another transducer (B175L) plugged into the back of the same MFD in its appropriate plug. Those are on my starboard MFD and I have a B175 HW plugged into my port MFD.

My recommendation would be to update the software on the system to the newest version (v25.21) that is coming out tomorrow. It should be able to resolve the issue. There had been some reports of those running both side-scan and normal transducer on the same machine encountering some problems periodically hence the newer software that includes some sounder improvements.
 
I have the same error occasionally. The "normal" transducer is a shoot thru so it doesn't have temp and the side scan ducer is my only temp source. Weird thing is, it will say no connection but I am still receiving temp so I know the side scan ducer is connected. I'll try the software update this weekend.
 
Thank you Johnny Electron for the heads up on the update software release. Went to my boat today and did the install via the WiFi link built into the unit using my phone as a hot spot. Software download and update went perfect with no issues. Today before the update same issues with no connection error and after the update no issues. No long term report yet but so far so good.
