TZTXL 25.21 update, anyway to turn off Pin?

My TZTBBX was recently updated to v25.21. It seems this update mandates a lot of unnecessary security (Pin, acknowledging network devices, etc) to comply with European regulations. From reading the firmware update file it seems those of use outside the EU are stuck with these unnecessary security protocols requiring a Pin to access certain menus. And to add salt to the wound this firmware update prevents downgrading the firmware.

Will a future firmware update allow non-EU users to disable Pin requirement?
 
The current software allows you to disable the boot up pin. After conducting all your settings, turn OFF the "Password Lock at startup" setting under HOME-SETTINGS-General-This display. While there are some locked areas that will require you to reestablish a pin in enter them, they are critical areas that once setup, you should have no need to enter, then it will be as it always has. It is about Cyber regulations but similar regulations are coming to US and US government purchases as well as the world deals with bad actors and technology advancement. With StarLink now becoming more common, boats are becoming more connected than ever. I don't particular care for the changes either but after using it and understanding that I can setup the system and then turn the lock OFF, if I want, it works better than I first thought.
 
Johnny, ok thanks, every time I turn off I need to re-establish a Pin when I want to activate the anchor alarm. A bit of a pain but I guess the “eraser head” regulators know best. IMHO this is big brother over reach. I can understand having the ability to establish a Pin but it should be a user choice if a Pin is required in their environment.
 
Yeah, some areas they locked makes no sense to me either. I expect someone will eventually get the areas locked to make more sense. They obviously didn't ask me. This is their first attempt; so it is likely to get better with future versions. (I hope so anyways).
