I currently use a Raymarine EV150 for autopilot and it interfaces to a Garmin 7610 through the NMEA 2000 network. Is it correct to assume that this autopilot will also interface to the Furuno MFD the same way? I am not looking to control the AP through the MFD (I don't get that with the Garmin unit), but I do need it to follow a route if I manually press "Track" on the autopilot. I'm assuming / hoping that this is the case.... Thanks.

Yes, it will drive the pilot via NMEA 2000 network. You would establish a GOTO to a point or a route on the plotter. Then go to the pilot and hit Nav to accept the Navigation data that is being placed on the bus. Not a problem.
