TZTouch XL 10x – Lost Internet Connection

Hey guys,

I’ve purchased a Furuno TZTouch XL 10x with the DFF3D module for fishing in Spain (Europe). My NavNet is running software version 25.11.1:25.
For the first two months everything worked fine – I had internet without problems by sharing from my phone. I could see the wireless icon, plus the boat-with-wireless icon that turned white when connected (meaning internet was available).

But about a month ago I noticed I could no longer sync to my MyTimeZero account, because the system wasn’t getting internet anymore.

Here’s what I’ve tried so far:

  • Tested with several phones on different carriers – both provide internet and assign DHCP correctly.
  • The TZTouch connects to the Wi-Fi network (wireless icon in white), but the boat+wireless icon has disappeared.
  • Tried downloading weather forecasts → got the message “Impossible to connect to the weather server due to no internet connection.”
My setup is:
  • NavNet TZTouch XL 10x
  • Satellite Compass SCX-20
  • Transducer 165T-50/200-SS260 DFF3D (stainless combination thru-hull)
  • DFF3D module
Everything else is configured properly, but I’d really like to restore the internet connection so I can sync MyTimeZero and download forecasts.
I think mayble it can be related do DNS but I didn´t find any place to put the DNS.

Any ideas on how to solve this?

Thanks in advance!

Are you certain that the software is 25.11.1 and not 25.11.2?
The 'boat+wireless" icon is the Fleet icon.
Did you login to your MyTimeZero account of the TZTXL?
I would reach out to your local Furuno group. There is a lot going on with European Cyber Security regulations around Wi-Fi and connectivity. They would be more aware of local changes than we in the USA would be.

Yes, I’m 100% sure I have version 25.11.1 on my NavNet TZTXL. About a month ago, MyTimeZero was working perfectly and the weather app was able to download forecasts, but now I no longer have internet access — and this happened without upgrading to any new version.

I was aware that the new version 25.11.2 blocks internet access, which is why I didn’t want to upgrade. However, I somehow lost connectivity anyway, so I’m now thinking that maybe the system got corrupted? I’m considering doing a factory reset and reconfiguring all the hardware, but I’m not sure. What do you suggest?

I already spoke with Furuno support in Spain, but they assume I have version 25.11.2. Even after telling them I don’t, they say the same issue happens with version 25.11.1. But I don’t think it should be possible to lose the internet connection without upgrading, right?

Thank you for your help.

Due to Cyber laws in Europe they might have turned off the server access in that part of the world until the new full cyber software version is available. This is just a guess on my part, if the reset doesn't work for you. This will likely resolve naturally when they release the certified Cyber software that meets the requirement being set by the EU/UK.
