my first Long post got los due to Internet probles, second short try:
Timezero Version4 cannot syncronize Waypoints/Routes etc with TzTouch anymore, thats not longer supportted, thats what I read in the Faq. Thats very disappointing because it was one of the main Features for me.....If they are not going to Change that, I will (mus) Downgrade to V3 :-(

Acer I reported this same thing in my June 27 post. We need to ask Furuno Japan to update the TZT software to maintain alignment with Navigator v4...and beyond. This has been done for the TZT2 series. I agree that the TZT+MaxSea/Nobeltec Navigator software is a winning combination putting Furuno way ahead of the competition. Furuno is very responsive to customers input so hopefully others reading this will add their support and the moderator here will forward a link to this thread to Product Development in Japan.

Aquabelle, I didnt read your post, otherwise I wouldnt have updated...

What I dint understand: obviously the removed some code in V4. What had they in mind when doing that, they lock out a lot of customers and harm their own business?!

I hope they reconsider.....

and here is the quite disappointing answer from "Timezero":

TimeZero Navigator v4 introduces a new and much-improved synchronization system. Synchronization with the NavNet systems that predate the TZT2 will not be possible because it requires a firmware update that Furuno will not be developing for the older TZT and NavNet3D.

I would like to bring that Topic up again.

I still dont understand why with the V4 Release of Timerzero the link between the Softwarea and the Plotter "broke".

As far as I know Furuno and Maxsea/Nobletec workk together and Furuno can influence the Software development.

End of the day we are Talking About Money and customer satisfaction. From my Point of view it would be quite a clever "idea" not to reduce Features but to increase them.

Call it progress. Nobeltec has moved Time Zero Pro to a different format to add new features but it breaks some of the compatibility features with existing TZT/TZT2. Those that value that integration shouldn't upgrade, at least until Furuno moves forward with any changes that might allow that integration to return. Changes made by Nobeltec should be discussed with them. Just because Microsoft moves to Windows 10 doesn't mean you have to. I still have several PCs running XP because I valued what it brought to the table. This Forum is focused on the Furuno Light Marine products and this topic has been discussed and answers given. Talking about it any longer here isn't going to change that reality. Ultimately Nobeltec has changed what their new product does and consumers can upgrade or not. Any support requests or feedback about Nobeltec should be given to Nobeltec.
