TZT3 vs DFF1 with B260

I recently upgraded my VX2 to a TZT3 with new radar networked to my TZT2. The VX2 and TZT2 were connected to a DFF1 and the B260 transducer. My question is: are there any advantages to keeping the DFF1 vs the internal fishfinder in the TZT3?

The sounder in the TZT3 is a more advanced sounder than the DFF1. Your TZT2 would be able to display the sounder information from the TZT3 if you connect your transducer to the TZT3 directly.
