TZT3 Install

Furuno Super Fan
Finally got some good pictures of my mostly finished install. Still waiting in line to get hauled up to change out the transducers otherwise everything else is done and color me impressed with performance thus far. Major improvement over my 20+ year old Raymarine equipment that was in there. Just about every other boat in my marinia is running Garmin equipment. All I can say is the furuno connections season 2 is spot on saying that they are easier to use. About the only feature I would love see come to the furuno units that Garmin has is the auto routing feature.

Very sweet. Thanks for sharing. It is hard to tell but the array bolt doesn't seems to be covered by sealant. An open array can be destroyed real quickly if there isn't a good bead of sealant squeezed out around where the array meets the gearbox and the bolts fully covered/sealed. It could be just the photo but you might want to check. Love the dash.Bolt.JPG

Thanks Johnny. After setting the array in the bed of sealant I cleaned up the excess with acetone on a rag. It is a pet peeve of mine, plus I think the end product looks much cleaner when you take a couple of mins to clean up the excess. Followed the instruction to the T on where to put the sealant. As much as the array cost, I read them about 15 times to make sure that I did it right the first time.

Awesome. Normally the bolts covered by the sealant are white so that black spot caught my eye. It is good to know that it isn't an uncovered bolt. Very sweet ride you have there.
