Tzt3 ff slow to scroll

Just installed. I attempted to adjust the picture advance but it still moves very slowly across the screen. Unsure what other settings to adjust. Any suggestions? So far just at the dock. Unsure if the boat needs to be underway.

Do you have the sounder showing a good bottom structure? The rate will be slow no matter what, if you don't have a good bottom.

I had this same issue. What I found was that I had the transducer transmit rate set to "auto". Reading the manual, it says that in Auto the transmit rate is adjusted based on boat speed, so when moving slowly the transmit rate is slowed down. The screen advance rate is a function of the transmit rate - so it slows down as well. Drove me crazy so I set the transmit rate to manual (setting = 20) and that "fixed" the problem for me. I say "fixed" as I assume that the behavior in Auto is considered a "feature"
