Hello, I'm trying to assemble a system on a strict budget. I would like to install a TZT3 12, and I'm considering reusing an old DSR2D or DSR4D. If I choose this route, can I power the dome using a generic 12 to 48v power supply? Also, is it possible to use a homemade Ethernet cable?

Yes to both questions. Ensure the power supply provides enough amps as if under powered it won't work.
