TZT2 system issue

3 TZT2 units, 2 RD33’s and 1 GP33 all tied together on the nmea2000 backbone.

When you select a go to waypoint on a TZT2 the range/bearing on other TZT2’s updates immediately and the RD33 a second later. If you select a new go to everything updates again. If you select a go to waypoint on the GP33 same results, updated range/bearing across the system.

Here is where it’s weird, if you go back to the TZT2 and select a waypoint after a GP33 waypoint the other TZT2’s update range/bearing but the RD33’s keep displaying the GP33 range/bearing.

Only way to correct this that I have found is to select stop navigating on the GP33 and then delete the waypoint on the GP33 - then the system goes back to rapid updates from the last selected waypoint.

So how do I work around having a GP33 waypoint and not having to delete that waypoint to navigate to a new waypoint using another machine/location??

Ultimately a boat should be navigating to one location and not two at the same moment in time.

The GP33 isn't a navnet device but it can provide steering instructions. The Navnet has an advantage of being networked. You tell one Navnet unit to cancel navigation and they all drop it. It can't do that for non-networked devices like the GP33 (NMEA 2000 or 0183).

When done navigating to one destination, the navigation should be stopped. You can do that without deleting the way-point. Having two active destinations at the same time is a bit odd. Most boats can't travel but to one location at a time. I recommend you Navigate, Cancel Nav, then Navigate to your next chosen location. The non-Navnet items are not going to behave like a NavNet.

I find the issue arises when I have been on anchor all night and use the GP33 waypoint for anchor alarm. I have to cancel the waypoint before I can trip plan to my next destination.

Is there a way to not output waypoint info from the GP33?

No the PGN data provided by the GP33 is fixed. The only way to stop that data from getting to the NavNets would be to put it as a standalone device or put it on it's own bus.

I am a new member so I may have not posted in a relevant area, but here goes. I have a new Furuno network with 2 TZ2-12’s. It was a year old this may. On a long passage on of the displays simply shutdown. There was power to it. The other screen could read all the info, sounder, sat compass, diff 3D sonar, both 4kw and 6kw radar and interface with the autopilot and Class A AIS. Shutting down equipment and network had no effect. Randomly it came back up. Now it is down and not coming back. Could this be a power supply issue even ghethe little on button in bottom right is illuminated? Also the external key pads have no effect. Help! Seeing side scan and chart are key to our diving operations nd
