TZT14 Polairty Swapped

I connected the power in correctly is there a diode in line to keep dummya like me from destroying equiptment,I connected the positive to the negative and negative to the positive and I corrected my error and It still does not light up?

check the wiring diagram but there's a second wire to connect for power (accessory or wake up wire)

There are only three wires + - and ground

With just the white (+) and black (-) wires connected on the power cable it should power on. If it isn't, check the inline fuse of the power cable and the breaker on the boat as one might have popped/blown.
