Is there a way to not have to take the transducer off standby every time the MFD is powered up? Checked settings and couldn't find anything.

No. That is a feature designed so that transducers don't burn up while transmitting out of the water for an extended period of time.

Maybe this switch could also be put on the Home Screen or at least to the chart plotter screen up swipe so we don't have to go to the fish finder screen, then swipe up then take off standby then back to the chart plotter screen just so we can see the water depth and temp.

It is in Home-Settings-Fish Finder-User Settings, Fish Finder Transmit also, but less button pushes to turn on from fish finder display. Also, if the fish finder is not being used for finding fish, it really isn't intended to be used to provide navigational depth and temp because fish finders are designed to be used in deeper than 15 feet of water. A NMEA2000 smart depth and temp transducer would be the way to go, and it doesn't have a way transmit on/off setting.

After bringing this up with others, I've learned that you can bring up the Quick Access Menu by pressing power button and touching the fish finder icon to go from stby to tx and vice-versa. That would be the quickest way.
