Tzt10x

Not sure what the answer was, but was wondering when they would be available for purchase in Canada?

Spring/early summer is the best estimates. Canadian dealers will be notified and given access to stock at the same time as the USA dealers.

Thanks for the update. I just purchased a TZT12 in February and it wasn't reading temperature from day one and it's going in for warranty work. Kinda wonder if it's a lemon so was wondering if I should hold out and upgrade to the 10 or 13XL.

I had the technician come out and check with another Transducer and the SST did not work with the other transducer.. This weekend fishing I could not find bait or fish with the transducer, a new B175HW. Last time out it seemed to be working. The P66 thru hull marked fish. Guess I'll wait and see what Furuno says as it is going now for repair under warranty.
Glad I purchased through a local dealer.

Reverse order of the original install? Idk, if me, I would contact Gemco (Airmar's tech support) to see if they could just provide a new temp sensor and junction box that you could wire into the existing transducer wiring; under warranty. It would solve the issue without pulling a working transducer.

P66 comes in a couple of different types. If you get the Furuno 10 pin version (525STID-MSD) with paddlewheel for speed; YES. You only need to use the adaptor (10 pin to 12 pin) that comes with your XL.

Does exposed shielding on the end of the power supply cable which is about 6”long supposed to be connected to anything?

Is there a cable that will go from my Furuno 1621 Radar ( 0183 Nema ) to my TZT 10X Nema 2000 input?

You would need a 4 pin NMEA pigtail cable for the older 1621 radar. Due to the age of this unit, this cable is no longer available so you would need to find it on the used market. (either of these older part numbers would be what you are looking for... 000-109-517 or 000-159-702). You would need to join that up with the 14 pin optional multi-cable on the TZTXL. (p/n 001-647-020-00) This connection will provide GPS information to the radar etc but it doesn't allow radar to be viewed on the XL etc.

Below from the 1621 radar manual.

Always follow guidance of the manual. Page S-1 show the wiring interconnections and in case of the TZT10X it shows that wire should go to the dedicated grounding/bonded system if the boat has one.

Can the gps receiver that used to go into my older Furuno plotter be wired directly to the 1621 to receive GPS info instead of going through the XL unit since radar cannot be viewed on XL?

The 14 pin optional multi-cable on the TZTXL. (p/n 001-647-020-00) previously discussed so you can get NMEA out and it will wire up to the provided NMEA wires on the FCV588 power cable. This will pass digital type data but again not being a network item, you will never get the FCV588 fish finder video on the XL.
