tz2 froze up and wiped out all waypoints and routes

I was working hard for about 5 hours editing waypoint and routes names that had been copied over from my old Navnet by the electronics installer to my 2 brand new TZ2 12 inch chartplotters. Then I tried to create a route from scratch, and when I went to delete just this one route, the TZ2 returned to the initial splash screen and froze up. After waiting 10 minutes with the frozen screen, I tried to turn it off and could not, so I had to turn off the
circuit breaker. When I turned it back on, it has deleted all 78 waypoints and 30 routes.

The installer said he couldn't help me,as the TZ2 was new to him . Why did this happen, do
I have a defective TZ2 or is their a known software glitch in them?

There might be something wrong with the waypoint data base you imported. I suggested you import it again and look over the list for any duplication or things that don't look correct about the data.
