i just bought the tz touch 2 15" unit and i have a b164 transducer and the detail is horrible

i had a mfd12 with dff1 and same ducer and it was fine

i have went through all the settings and tried many things and nothing helps. i am using the fishfinder in the tz touch unit and have selected the ducer as manual as well that was suggested. no matter what i do it will never lock digital depth numbers either. i have tried using a different ducer to make sure its just not the b164 as well

any suggestions

I would recommend;

1st perform a soft reset.
Home--Settings--Sounder---Reset default setting--OK
Home--Settings--Sounder---Reset hardware to factory defaults--OK

2nd- Re-enter the transducer settings.
Home--Settings--Sounder--Transducer Setup--Setup Type--Manual--Frequency 0,200 and ,0050--Power --1000.

3rd- Home--Settings--Sounder--Transmit rate auto --OFF
set transmit rate to 20 (max)

4th- Home--settings--Sounder--Bottom Level-- set to negative 20 on both frequencies.
