Transducer not working, new to me boat/electronics

I just bought this boat a lil while back, the Electronics were working fine. I added a house battery. Electronics still worked fine. Now all of a sudden the transducer isn’t working no ticking. I have a Furuno 1900c, etc-6/10n sounder, airmar transducer through hull transducer.

Any help is greatly appreciated

Sam

Sorry for the delay. Questions have been hot and heavy now that the season is here. Please keep in mind the forum isn't a replacement for official support assistance. If you have something pressing, please open an official support case direct with your local distributor. If your distributor is Furuno USA, that is done at our website at www.FurunoUSA.com - Support - Ask a question.

The 1900c is a NavNet series one from roughly 2002. The ETR6/10N is an analog network sounder from that time period but can be moved forward as far as the NN3D and no further. If the transducer isn't clicking the first step is to see what the sounder is doing. After powering on the system and waiting four minutes, take a look at the sounder box light. What is it doing. Is it Off, Flashing, or Solid?

If flashing after 4 mins, then the sounder sees the NavNet and appears normal. It sounds like the sounder transmission has been tuned off in the settings. Have you verified that the transmission is set to ON in the sounder menu? I also recommend setting it to dual freq in the settings because the sound can be hard to hear if you have it set to one freq (especially 200khz).

Can you run me through how to check that? As I mentioned Furuno is new to me and a lil more complicated than the other manufacturers.

How many other manufacturers equipment is 18 years old and still on your boat? lol
MENU - SYSTEM CONFIG - SYSTEM SETUP - NETWORK SOUNDER SETUP - Look for Transmission ON/OFF. Ensure it is "ON".Soundersetup.JPG
