transducer Compatability

Can I use an ETR-30n sounder module with an Airmar R-199 transducer? I am using a etr6/10
now but I would like to get 2kw if possible. I noticed the etr 30n has 2 plugs for the transducer where the etr6/10 only has one.

The ETR-30N is a better choice than the ETR6/10 when using the R-199.

There was a couple of different color codes for the R-199. Most likely your have one that has a Blue/Black/Shield, Blue with white stripe/Black with white stripe/Shield and Orange/White/Brown/Shield. If you do the Blue/Black are the High frequency and the Blue/Black with the white stripes are the Low frequency. On the HF side the Blue to pin-2, Black to pin 4 and the shield to pin 3. On the LF side the Blue with the white stripe to pin 2, Black with white stripe to pin 4 and shield to pin 3.
