Hello, I've got a TM260 1kw to fit but cannot gut it out to 6" minimum outside of the outboard prop swing radius as per Airmar instrustions due to the trim tabs that are 18"wide. I would be able to get it to 2-3" outside of prop swing radius. The boat is a mid 90's Seaswirl striper 2100wa and has a 250hp Suzuki. The outboard is on a bracket so is set back 14" from the transom itself where the transducer will be mounted.
My question is will it be OK as it is a lot further away in front of the prop rather than being beside it on a normal flat transom?
I thinking it'll probably be more of an issue to the engine due to causing aeration to the prop, could live with that though if i could get it to work at speed.
Thanks All
