Through Hull Transducers

Hi All,
Lets start this one as I have been told this will work.. I am doubtful.

I have a DFF1 currently it is still running off the the old JRC transducer 50/200( 1993). I have a 60 ft Aluminum boat. Will a new transducer shoot through the aluminium? I have done it on fiber glass boat in a wet box with good results.

I figure I am up for a lift many hours of pain and agro to remove the old out of the keel and a lot of epoxy to make it seal. But this seemed a possible way to upgrade to a newer transducer with less pain?

Thanks Luke

luke343,
thank you for your inquiry.
per the manufacturers specifications in-hull transducers were/are designed for installation in SOLID FIBERGLASS hulls only.
