switching loran -GPS

If I switch back and forth from Loran-C to Lat Lon is the Furuno converting each time? Will it change my waypoints location because of slight errors in conversion after multiple times of going back and forth?

I really wish they would allow us to set up a unit in the chain to display Loran without all the other units switching over as well.

Not it will not change anything. Ultimately the unit is a GPS unit but the numbers are converted into LoranC for display only. The location is always in Lat/Lon in the background of the unit.
