Sounder very pixelated

blue yonder

New member
Hi guys,

I just did the update on my tzt2 and reset the transducer like the instructions said and now my image is very pixelated (see pic) It was nice and smooth before... also my transducer is 1m under water so I set that and now I have a large red section at the top, is there a way to get rid of this?

Thanks!

Blue Yonder,
After you updated the SW it defaults back to it's base (factory) settings. Change the Smoothing setting from Off to On and reset the Transducer Draft setting from 3ft to 0.

Thanks snips, with the draft setting though if I don’t say it’s 3ft under I don’t have a true depth reading from the surface.. surely there’s a way to get a true reading without the red section?

Blue Yonder,
The red section is from the Keel Draft setting. If you notice there is a small (s) or (k) that appears next to the digital display. The (s) stands for surface and (k) for keel so you know the reference of the digital depth. Look under Boat Information in the menu, here you will External Transducer and Keel Draft settings.
