side scan offshore?

Are there any available screen shots in 100 to 300 feet deep using the side scan to see fish in the water column? I am not looking to see the bottom. I am thinking it may work very well to see fish hanging under weed lines and debris. It definitely should see shoals of fish off to the sides of the boat.

I currently do not have a screen shot of a Side Scan displaying a fish school in deeper water, but I do have one showing a fish school of Tuna at about 100ft of depth:

does the sidescan need to see the bottom in order to work or can it be used in deep water like buckshot is suggesting?

No, you can use the Side Scan without having any bottom and still show you fish targets within the water column.
