Side Scan Questions

I may not be asking the question correctly, i understand it sees out to the side 750ft but it sees fish in the water out to the sides. Im wondering the depth it sees down in the water to see fish and bottom structure. I’m trying to determine if i could see fish 180ft deep in the water column out to the sides while trolling?

WindynParadise,

The 225T CHIRP side scan transducers all operate with a 40° beamwidth. At the maximum range of 750 feet, this beam angle yields a coverage width of approximately 546 feet.

Resolution is influenced by environmental factors, particularly water temperature and sea conditions. The 225T transducer operates in a CHIRP frequency range of 220–240 kHz, with a center frequency of 230 kHz. Under calm and flat sea conditions, the system is capable of delivering good resolution, especially for detecting those fish targets.
