Should I upgrade: TZT2 to TZT3?

Hi all

I currently have 2 x TZT2 (12" & 15" in the boat. They are networked with a DFF3 and a DFF3D + radar.

Keen to get views if it is time to upgrade.

Can't really afford to replace both screens/MFDs with TZTXLs in one go. Given you can't network a TZT2 with a TZTXL, was thinking of trying to find a second hand TZT3 (understand you can get them new anymore) as a first step and then change the other for an XL somewhere down the track.

Will I get much improvement going from a TZT2 to a TZT3?

Does anybody know if the cut-out/size for TZT2 15" is the same as a TZT3 16"? Specs seem to suggest they are.

Any other suggestions?

There are some features to be gained with a TZT2 to TZT3 upgrade. You will see performance improvements, especially in processing speed.
I think the key is your budget plan to get to TZTXL. You have a good working plan in mind.
TZTL15F and TZT16F are the same size so that will be an easy swap there. The TZT16X is slightly different.

TZT3 processor and memory is x2 that of the TZT2 but XL is even greater. I guess it depends on your budget and if you want to get into the New TZ Map charts or stay with the MM3 type that TZT2/3 uses.
