How and what kind of sensors and wiring are needed to display engine, fuel, tankage etc.?

Normally a compatible NMEA 2000 engine interface from the engine company and tank sensors with NMEA 2000 sender. Maretron makes a nice NMEA2000 sender that supports up to 6 tanks on one device. You would need to talk to the engine company about options for NMEA 2000 interface.

I am using engine gateways from Yacht Devices which seem to work well with the GP1971F. I've also just installed a separate FI70 so I can free up some screen space. I'm interfacing to Volvo Penta's. I haven't got tank sensors installed yet but that's on the To Do list ...
