SCX20 with Simrad AP25 Autopilot

Hello,

I have a Simrad AP25 autopilot and have recently installed an SCX20 satellite compass. I see that the AP25 has the capability to connect to my NMEA 2000 backbone via an adaptor cable (Simnet to N2K). Does anybody know if I can use the SCX20 as the main source for heading, position, rate change etc for the AP25?

The SCX20 will output all the data needed for that.
Being able to use it would depend on Simrad having any special requirements or not. I am not aware of that being the case so I would think you are good to go.

Hopefully a forum member can confirm but I also believe we have seen many assorted Simrad customers use the SCX20, particularly when they were having supply shortages with their compasses.
